This expert review, what we call 15 Minutes with the Expert, includes a one-on-one conversation with a doctor, nurse or author with a demonstrated expertise in the specific area of your health. Your time with the expert is captured in an audio file and placed in your secure personal health record (PHR). You can replay the conversation as many times as you need to understand the valuable health information it contains.

This type of direct connection between question and answer is another example of how technology is changing the way we learn new things. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to our efforts and I encourage you to share them with me directly by email or phone.

How to prepare for the lab collection:

Requires 8 HOUR FAST BEFORE testing, that means nothing to eat or drink (other than BLACK Coffee or water) after MIDNIGHT the night before testing

The General Health Screen consists of 30 diagnostic values that provide an objective look at your health. These same tests are used by medical providers to evaluate areas like iron levels, electrolyte balance, kidney, liver and bone health as well as your risk for conditions like Diabetes and Heart Disease.

The GHS serves as the foundation for all our Wellness Panels and includes the following tests:

Review your results with the expert

Once you have visited the local lab and been notified your results are complete (usually with 24 hours), you're prompted to schedule a time with the expert to review your results. The 15-minute telephone consultation is intended to help you better understand your results, answer simple health questions and develop a plan to move forward.

While it WILL NOT provide a diagnosis or recommend any specific treatment from a single lab report, it may discuss values requiring a followup up with your personal physician. It will also allow you to easily fax a copy of your results directly to your doctor if you choose to make it part of your permanent medical record.

The health information you share with us.

Before you choose the time for your conversation, you will be asked to complete a short health history. Your answers here are combined with your lab results to provide the expert with the most accurate picture of your current health. The more specific you can be, the better quality service they can provide.

This information is not sold, shared or used for ANY PURPOSE other than giving the expert the best information to help you. Once the conversation is complete, you have the option of unchecking any answer in your My History tab which deletes this information from your record.
